Coleslaw is an amazing side dish for every BBQ. There is no doubt that white cabbage is healthy. The vitamin C bomb makes a considerable contribution to a healthy diet, especially in winter. Full of good nutritional values, cabbage also tastes good. Like many other cabbage varieties, white cabbage is known for its high fibre content. This means that a dish with cabbage keeps you full for a long time and promotes healthy digestion. The coleslaw KFC Style is delicious and healthy!

 

Ingredients

800 g white cabbage
1 large carrot
1 small onion
65 g sugar, white
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper, black
60 ml milk
125 g mayonnaise
60 ml buttermilk
1 1/2 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice, fresh
1/4 tsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp mustard, optional

 

preparation

Cut white cabbage, carrot and onion into fine and very thin strips about 2.5 cm long, either by hand or in a food processor.

Mix white cabbage, carrot and onion in a large bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients well in another bowl, if necessary add the mustard. Then pour over the white cabbage mixture. Season to taste.

Cover the bowl and put the Coleslaw in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, preferably 12 to 15 hours, to allow all the ingredients to combine perfectly. To serve, remove from the refrigerator 1/2 hour before serving.

The Coleslaw goes best as a side dish with hamburgers, pulled pork, hot dogs, grilled pork and poultry and of course with BBQ.
